At Triumph Chiropractic LDN, we look beyond the lower back itself, assessing the relationship between your lower back, pelvis, hips, posture and surrounding muscles. We use personalised care to address areas of tension, stiffness and restricted movement, alongside practical advice and exercises to support better movement and everyday comfort.
Lower back pain can present in a number of ways, including localised pain or stiffness, aching, muscle tension, restricted movement, pain with bending or lifting, and symptoms that may extend into the buttocks or legs.
Lower back symptoms can have a number of contributing factors, including prolonged postures, repetitive movements, lifting, changes in activity levels, muscular tension, joint stiffness, previous injuries and changes in how the lower back, pelvis and hips move and load.
Our approach begins with a thorough assessment of your lower back, pelvis, hips and surrounding musculature, alongside your symptoms, movement patterns and relevant lifestyle factors. Where appropriate, care may include chiropractic techniques, soft-tissue work, dry needling, movement advice and exercises designed around your individual presentation.
If you are experiencing persistent or recurring lower back pain, stiffness or changes in movement, an assessment can help establish what may be contributing to your symptoms and whether chiropractic care is appropriate for you.

Lower Back Pain FAQs
1. Can stress make lower back pain worse?
Yes. Stress can influence muscle tension, sleep, activity levels and how we respond to pain, which may contribute to or aggravate existing lower back symptoms.
2. Can sitting for long periods cause lower back pain?
Prolonged sitting can contribute to stiffness and discomfort for some people, particularly when combined with reduced movement or changes in activity levels. Regular movement and changing position throughout the day may help.
3. Will you assess my hips and pelvis as well as my lower back?
Yes. We assess the lower back alongside the pelvis, hips and surrounding musculature to understand how these areas may be contributing to your symptoms and movement.
4. Can lower back pain cause pain in the leg?
It can. Some lower back conditions can cause referred pain into the buttock or leg, while irritation or compression of a nerve can cause symptoms such as pain, tingling, numbness or weakness. These symptoms require appropriate assessment.
5. Do I need an assessment if my lower back pain keeps coming back?
Recurring symptoms can have a number of contributing factors. An assessment can help identify relevant movement, loading, lifestyle or physical factors and determine whether chiropractic care is appropriate.
